PAKISTAN EARTHQUAKE 2019

PAKISTAN APPEAL

On 24th September 2019 a destructive earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale struck in Mirpur Azad Kashmir Pakistan. This caused devastating damage to people’s lives, property and put many people at risk of losing their homes and livelihoods.

The media coverage deeply saddened us here at QQS and we felt the urge to help and support immediately, raising money so that aid could be distributed in the affected town of Jatlan and its surrounding villages of Saang and Lohran-mora.

From the generous donations given to QQS, our volunteers distributed food packages directly to the victims and provided tents for shelters, as many people lost their homes and had no safe place to rest.

We want to thank everyone for helping us with this small project which provided so much comfort to those suffering in hardship. We would like to extend our condolences to all those lives lost and our thoughts and prayers are with the departed and their families.
